Women of Wine

In a traditionally male-dominated industry, we want to celebrate and highlight women who are making great wine. With these four wines, we are representing some of our favourite females making waves in the industry. However, these are great wines in and of themselves which just happen to be made by women.

'3B' Brut Nature, Filipa Pato

£20.00 > £18.00

Crisp, elegant and refreshing - A perfect example of the incredible traditional method wines being made outside of France, a Portuguese take on Champagne, if you will. This is made from a blend of three local grape varieties Maria Gomes, Bical and Arinto. Filipa's wines are always full of energy and zesty charm.

Oniric Brisat, Entre Viynes

£18.00 > £16.20

Maria Barrena makes this light skin-contact orange wine from Penedes in Spain - this is a great introduction into the world of orange wine. There's stone fruit aromas and light savoury spice. Its a light, easy going orange wine that's elegant and balanced.

The wine sees 14 days of maceration with the skins of Xarel-Lo, after which it is pressed into clay amphoras (giant clay pots), where it rests for six months prior to bottling.

Riesling, Sybille Kuntz

£20.00 > £18.00

Super-classy Mosel Riesling from rising star Sybille Kuntz.

Lively, refreshing, and bursting with citrus fruit and white flowers.

Bourgogne 'Les Prielles', Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet

£26.00 > £23.40

Amélie Berthaut is a rising star in Burgundy, after recently taking over the family Domaine. She is making great value, elegant red Burgundy in the village of Fixin.
